ARCA/CRA Super Series Winner to Race at Illinois State Fairgrounds on Sunday

Huntersville, North Carolina (Tuesday, August 18, 2015): Following an impressive ARCA Racing Series debut at Berlin Raceway (Mich.) in the Federated Auto Parts 200 on August 8, Ken Schrader Racing, Inc., has signed Hunter Baize to drive the No. 52 Federated Auto Parts car at Illinois State Fairgrounds (Ill.) on Sunday, August 23. The SuperChevyStores.com-Allen Crowe 100 at Illinois State Fairgrounds (Ill.) will be the first of two consecutive dirt races for the ARCA Racing Series.

“Hunter drove really well at Berlin (Raceway) (Mich.),” said team owner, Ken Schrader. “With his win last weekend in the 7-UP 125 at Flat Rock Speedway (Mich.), we are hoping to capitalize on that momentum for the ARCA race in Springfield (Ill.) this weekend.”

Baize will be entering Sunday’s SuperChevyStores.com-Allen Crowe 100 coming off a victory in the 7-UP 125 at Flat Rock Speedway (Mich.) with the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS. He led 124 of 125 laps and held off 2014 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance Champion Dan Leeck. Baize currently sits second in ARCA/CRA Super Series points.

“I’m extremely thankful for the opportunity to race with Ken Schrader Racing, Inc., once again this weekend,” Baize said. “Illinois State Fairgrounds (Ill.) will be a completely new experience for me, as it is bigger than any track I’ve ever raced on and will also be my first time on dirt in a stock car. Despite that I’m confident that, with the help of crew chief Donnie Richeson and the entire crew we can be competitive in the SuperChevyStores.com Allen Crowe 100.”

The SuperChevyStores.com-Allen Crowe 100 at Illinois State Fairgrounds (Ill.) will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network on Sunday, August 23 at 1:30 p.m. CT. Baize’s No. 52 Ken Schrader Racing, Inc., entry will once again carry Federated Auto Parts colors. Bicycle Playing Cards, Mountaineer All-Natural Firewood will also return to support Baize’s efforts.
