2016 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance Schedule Released

Series will have 13 Point Events in Four States

 

Salem, Indiana (Wednesday, December 2, 2015): Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS has officially released the 2016 schedule for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance. The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour 2016 Schedule will consist of 14 total races, with 13 of those being point events. 2016 will be the sixth season of competition for the crate late model touring series sanctioned by Champion Racing Association.

 

“We are really excited about the 2016 schedule with the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour,” remarked Glenn Luckett, Managing Partner of CRA. “We have a great mix of events on the schedule again that will challenge our drivers throughout the season and provide some great racing for our fans!”

 

The 2016 racing season kicks off with the traditional non-points opener for both the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour with SpeedFest 2016 at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Georgia on Saturday-Sunday, January 30-31st. The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour race will be a 125 lap four tire event, counting yellow flag laps up to lap 100. This event has traditionally attracted the best Pro Late Model drivers from both the North and the South in this early season battle.

 

The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour will then kick off its 2016 point season on Sunday, May 1st at Springport Motor Speedway, located in Springport, Michigan, the series traditional points opener for the past two seasons. The series will then make the longest distance road trip of the season to Lebanon I-44 Speedway, in Lebanon, Missouri for the prestigious 4th Annual Mercy Masters of the Pros 144 on Saturday, May 14th, one of the top paying Pro Late Model events in the country.

 

The series will then make its traditional Memorial Day Weekend visit to Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, May 28th. The series will then visit the famed High Banks of Salem Speedway, in Salem, Indiana on Saturday, June 11th.

 

The series will then head back to Michigan, to Berlin Raceway in Marne on Friday, June 17th as part of the huge Battle at Berlin 251 Weekend. The series will stay in Michigan for its next event at Dixie Motor Speedway located in Birch Run on Friday, July 8th.

 

The series will then head to the World’s Fastest Quarter Mile, the famed Anderson Speedway, located in Anderson, Indiana on Saturday, July 23rd. The series will then head back to Ohio for its first ever event at Spitzer Motor Speedway, formally called Mansfield Motor Speedway, on Saturday, August 6th.

 

The series will then head back to Michigan on August 13th for a return visit to Auto City Speedway in Clio. The series will then head to the legendary 1/2 mile high-banks of Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana on Sunday, September 6th to kick off the famous World Stock Car Festival on Labor Day Weekend.

 

The series will then head to Owosso Speedway in Ovid, Michigan for an event on Saturday, September 10th. The series will then join all of their CRA counterparts for Fall Brawl 2016 at Lucas Oil Raceway just outside of Indianapolis, Indiana on Saturday-Sunday, September 24-25th. The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour will crown their 2016 Tour Champion at Winchester Speedway as part of the 45th Annual Winchester 400 Weekend on Friday, October 7th in its second visit of the season to Winchester Speedway.
