Baer Field Motorsports Park Up Next for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman

Salem, IN (July 3, 2019) – The Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS will be back in action this Saturday at Baer Field Motorsports Park, located just south of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman will be part of a historic huge weekend of racing at Baer Field Motorsports Park, the three day event will also feature a $20,000 to win ICAR Modifieds All-Star Tour event, the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks in there 60 lap $5,000 to win Crown Jewel event, the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour and the Victory Custom Trailers CRA Junior Late Models. This event was originally scheduled for May 11th but was postponed because of rain. 

 

The Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS kicked off their 2019 season at Anderson Speedway on April 13th were Jeff Marcum went wire to wire to get the dominating victory by almost three seconds over second place Tommy Cook. This past Sunday, Zachary Tinkle won the Raintree 100 at Mt. Lawn Speedway, the second event of the season for the series and the first event in the series Triple Crown mini-series. 

 

Marcum comes into Saturday’s event as the series point’s leader. Tinkle is in second place, seven points behind Marcum. Billy Hutson is in third place, two points behind Tinkle. R.J. Norton Jr. is in fourth place, four points behind Hutson. Kent Carson is in fifth place, he is 14 points behind Norton Jr. 

 

2018 series winners at Baer Field Motorsports Park included Cook in the June 23rd 75 lap event. ARCA/CRA Super Series competitor Hunter Jack got the win in the Triple Crown event on August 18th, his first ever CRA feature win.

 

On Saturday, pit gates open at 8am. Practice will begin at 9am. Qualifying for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman will be at 1:50pm. The race program is set to begin at 5:15pm and will include the 75-lap feature for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman on the 3/8-mile track at Baer Field.
