Tinkle Family Racing is pleased to announce that Zachary Tinkle, driver of the #53 pro late model, has been entered for the 53rd Redbud 400 at Anderson Speedway. This will be Tinkle’s debut race in the ARCA/CRA Super Series.
Zachary pulled his crew chief, Danny Trent, aside one night at Anderson Speedway to discuss the possibility of entering the Redbud 400. The team had a huddle meeting to talk about logistics and Zachary’s progress during the 2019 season at Anderson. It was a unanimous decision that Zachary and the team were ready for the challenge of completing in the 400-lap race at Zachary’s home track.
Once the commitment was made, preparations were made to get Zachary and his car ready for the long race with pitstops. While Danny has been updating the car, Zachary has been upping his fitness routine to focus on endurance and reaction time.
The Redbud weekend will be action packed for the Tinkle Family Racing team. Zachary will compete in the local Anderson Speedway race on Saturday night in the McGunegill Engine Performance series since he is currently in the points leader for the championship. Sunday will be a full day of practice only for those racing in the Redbud and Monday is the 53rd running of the Redbud 400.
